San Antonio 410 Accident Today: Crash on Loop 410 Causes Traffic Disruptions
A traffic accident along Loop 410 in San Antonio, Texas, caused significant delays Wednesday afternoon as emergency responders worked to secure the scene and clear the roadway.
According to initial reports, the crash occurred near Callaghan Road on the city’s Northwest Side. Authorities say a pickup truck traveling westbound collided with another vehicle before losing control, vaulting over a guardrail, and crashing into a tree along the nearby frontage road.
Emergency crews responded quickly and transported the pickup truck’s driver to a local hospital. Officials reported that the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Portions of the roadway were temporarily closed as police and emergency personnel assessed the situation and began their investigation.
Earlier in the day, traffic in the area was also impacted by a separate crash involving an 18-wheeler, which forced the closure of the southbound ramp from Loop 410 to Interstate 37. Officials urged drivers to use alternate routes while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Loop 410, also known as the Connally Loop, serves as one of the primary beltways around San Antonio and carries heavy traffic throughout the day. Even minor disruptions on the highway can quickly cause congestion across nearby routes.
Authorities have not yet released further details about what caused the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing. Motorists traveling through the area were advised to proceed carefully and expect possible delays while crews continued clearing the scene.
